Networking in Affiliate Marketing is Priceless

I’ve always been a huge believer/practitioner in networking since Day 1 and networking in the AM industry is not an exception.

Way too many people think AM is just about their 22 inch screen monitor and themselves sitting behind that monitor in their underwear on a day-to-day basis. Now that’s great and probably one of the benefits of being an internet marketer, but there is just so much more potential if you just go out there, meet, interact, share ideas, and grow from NETWORKING with people. This is especially true if you just LOVE the industry- why wouldn’t you want to meet more like-minded people and benefit from it at the same time?

I am serious when I say that going to Affiliate Summit West, not knowing a single other soul in the industry that I would see there other than a few people like Wes Mahler from Tracking202 on whom I had occasionally talked to on AIM (and who got me into the industry). Nonetheless, the people that I met there and hung out with all turned out to be really exceptional people and many of whom I remain in touch with today and consider friends. Some of the individuals I met at ASW include:

It was great meeting these guys and I know I’ll see them again soon probably at ASE in New York, which I can’t wait for because hopefully by then I’ll be half as good at AM as they are.

In my last post I talked about Direct Agents and about how they’re always looking to motivate their affiliates.

Well if you’re not an affiliate yet with them, there’s no reason not be now…they’re hosting an Affiliate Challenge between February 15th and March 31st. The affiliate that brings in the most leads for Bidz.com (Short form offer) wins a weekend get away to the Caribbean. The second place winner gets a brand spankin’ new 42″ flat screen TV. And the third winner gets a prize as well – a $300 gift card.

This is easy guys! Plenty of chances to win! The Bidz.com offer has been converting very well and doing even better as we get closer and closer to Valentine’s day. Check out Direct Agents now and start running that offer! Details on the contest here: Affiliate Challenge

What’s up guys?

I’ve been hard at work trying to get my campaigns to convert and playing around with a lot of different networks at the same time.

I like to get a feel of the best interface as well as the service at each network. Honestly, the people at a network and how they treat you makes a huge difference especially when you’re starting out.

If you’re at a network that has people that care about you…it’s almost like buying a motivation plan with them sort of like how you would buy an insurance plan with a car. It just keeps you going.  If you’re at a network without people who are there to look out for you when bad things happen or let you know about campaigns that are converting, you’re pretty much a lost soul. As I learned in Vegas at Affiliate Summit West, networking is HUGE in this industry. You might think it’s all about being behind the computer screen and running a few PPC campaigns but it is so much bigger than that. Having an awesome affiliate manager on your side, like I do at Direct Agents (what’s up Ken??), makes working with that network so much more personable and you really feel like you have a combined goal when you run a campaign – not just to help yourself, but to help your network because they’ve done so much for you. In fact, I even met up with my AM at Direct Agents when he was in town and then got to hang out with him again in Las Vegas at Affiliate Summit West and met the whole team at DA. These guys are on top of their game and when they say they’re going to help you out whenever they can…they do.

If you’re looking for an excellent CPA Network to work with and believe in building solid relationships in this industry to help you get closer to your goals, I highly recommend signing up with Direct Agents today. They’ve been working with some of the most powerful affiliates and have been in the industry for five years. They have an extremely clean interface and some of the best payouts in the industry. Most of all though, it’s about the exceptional team at Direct Agents that makes you want to work with them even more.
