I think I’ve finally found a focus for this blog that’s going to help you as well as help me at the same time.

Lots of you have expressed interest in affiliate marketing and I just want be able to use this blog to let you guys know things that I have learned in becoming a successful affiliate marketer.

I believe this will keep me focused on AM and will help my readers as well.

So for the first lesson:

Don’t Forget About Cash Flow!

AM means being able leverage someone else’s money (i.e. credit cards) to make your own money and then some, and be able to pay off that borrowed money. However, one of the biggest mistakes beginners make, myself included, is that they forget about making sure they will have the money they need to pay off credit cards and continue to be able to use them for the next month. One area of failure is forgetting to fill out your W-9 which can be a serious hassle as you won’t get paid until you do- and to make it worse your credit card company will be waiting on their payment. And even if you have filled it out, make sure they have it (CPAEmpire said they never got mine, which screwed me over for a month).

Furthermore, align your credit card bill due date with the date that you receive your affiliate marketing checks so that you have the money to pay your credit card bill in time. Following these steps will ensure that you don’t have to sit out of the game for months while you wait for your check in the mail. Another tip- don’t go with CPAEmpire- they will lose your stuff and make you wait ages for your check.
