I just came across a cool new web app which came across to me as the web 2.0 version of Internet radio. The site is called Radioo, an internet radio station directory with a nice tag-based browsing system. Although the site is still somewhere between alpha and beta, it already features 104 stations. Users can also get updates on the stations they listen to via RSS feed.

From the site:

  • Tagging. You can now add tags to stations. Just visit the station’s page on Radioo, and enter a new tag.
  • RSS feeds. Get updates on the latest stations on Radioo. Subscribe to the latest feed, which shows the 10 latest stations added to the directory, or refine the feeds with tags. Subscribe to the feed on a particular tag’s page, and you’ll be kept updated with the 10 latest stations tagged with that tag.

Check them out at Radioo.net.

Nice find. How would you rate it against the likes of http://www.pandora.com or http://www.last.fm ?

Hm I can’t say how the final product Radioo has to offer will compare to pandora and last.fm will compare, but those are two kick ass sites. Thanks for the links.
